she:he.
she hopes not to appear
too needy.
he hopes not to appear
too often.
a question begins to arise.
a fear is formulated.
we’d all like to
imagine ourselves islands,
protect our fragile
sense of self,
and maintain some
type of space
and individuality.
a question begins to arise.
a fear is formulated.
he hopes to learn to let go.
she hopes he won’t let her go.

It is all in the question who has the power, he or she. Note he is in she and therefore she gave the rib and not Adam.

Hi Frausto! A conflict within self. Who is he/she? Awesome! 😉

Well, in a way I guess it is about internal conflicts, but more about conflicts that occur when starting a relationship with someone. The poem was really about where I was at about being in a relationship before meeting my wife.
