How to Succeed in the Short Term and Fail in the Long Run
Ask, “Why?” Not now but later,
After the fact when it won’t matter.
Nothing should be disclosed.
Keep secret all of your thoughts,
And decide by committee,
So as to avoid offending anybody.
Step in line and set your face to smile-
They’ll like you more that way my child.
Feel why the earth don’t grow
Anything organic anymore-
All of the soil has been saturated
With some corporate chemicals,
And we all know who is to blame,
But we shouldn’t be so eager to assign blame,
To start pointing fingers at anyone
Because nothing happens in isolation.

So true —nothing happens in isolation

I thought your metaphor of the Earth being saturated with corporate chemicals was wonderful.
