shameless and shameful.

there is no shame
in having no name.
there is no shame
in being all the same, but
there is no shame
when you are not
because to my eyes
that’s where your light derives.

there is no shame
in having no shame.
the greater shame
is to be ashamed
of your neighbor’s shame
by simply stating,
“oh brother, what a shame!”
and doing nothing to ease his pain,
and shame.

  2. Good work, shameless…this is one that has to be read a few times to feel the impact.

    I love the beginning and i can relate to this in a way that for many years caused me to feel shame…good work!
